Nic Newling is an outspoken advocate for mental health, suicide prevention, and sharing personal stories. Having lived through the personal challenges of suffering silently with a mood disorder in high school and losing his brother to suicide, he has since dedicated himself to changing the way mental illness is addressed. www.nicnewling.com

In this talk, Nic will detail the human experience of family life and school life in an environment where he felt he had to hide. Nic uncovers the road to healing and thriving that he and his family eventually moved along and what we can all do to make a positive difference for ourselves and each other.

Nic is an extremely well respected mental health expert who has been featured on The TODAY show, Australian Story, in The Huffington Post, in the men’s mental health documentary 'Man Up' and the documentary 'Suicide: The Ripple Effect', and was one of the subjects of his mother’s Human rights Award winning memoir 'Missing Christopher'.

We are privileged to bring Nic to you thanks to Island Bay Ranch who have sponsored his visit. This is a free event but bookings are essential.
