Our school actively promotes the safety and wellbeing of all students, and all school staff are committed to protecting students from abuse or harm in the school environment, in accordance with their legal obligations including child safe standards. Please refer to our Policies page for our Child Safety Code of Conduct and other College policies. In accordance with Child Protection legislation, preferred applicants will be subject to employment screening. All information collected by Newhaven College will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Academic staff must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teachers and all Newhaven College staff must have a current Working With Children Check. Staff are employed under a comprehensive Collective Enterprise Agreement.
