Prep - Year 6: Thinking & Learning

The development of thinking skills is embedded in our programs to develop within our students a greater reasoning capacity, the skills for informed decision making and the ability to think both critically and creatively to solve problems. We aspire to develop independent learners who are passionate about making the most of their opportunities.

Literacy and Numeracy are high priorities in our Junior School. We aim for all students to be fluent, competent readers, writers and speakers and to match these literacy skills with a knowledge and ability in number, space, measurement, chance and data. Our Junior School supplements this core learning with Physical Education, integrated activities including Science, Technology and Studies of Society, and is underpinned by Religious and Values Education. In addition, our students enjoy specialist teaching in the areas of Library, Japanese and the Visual and Performing Arts.
