On Thursday, 21 October 2021 we had a wonderful day of celebrations to mark the completion of secondary school for our Year 12 students. As has been the case so many times over the last 18 months, we had to adjust the format and logistics of the day to meet the requirements of the Schools Operation Manual as published by the Victorian Government to meet our COVID safe responsibilities. It would have been wonderful if we could have had Year 12 families onsite, however, this was not possible or permitted so we had to proceed with the next best alternative: a presentation in House groups with families joining via the live stream.
The Year 12 Presentation Assembly was held in the lecture theatre. The prize winners were awarded in House groups and each student received their Valedictory Certificate.
Congratulations to our major award winners; Nick White who received the highly regarded Principal’s Prize, MacKinley Thompson who received the prestigious Papworth Prize, Seth Ringrose who was awarded the ADF Long Tan Leadership Award and Kristina Christos who won the ADF Future Innovators Award.
A highlight of the day was when the entire College population took up vantage points across the school to witness the traditional ‘release of 50 white doves’: a spectacular highlight of the celebrations.
