Casey Thomsen

Casey Thomsen

Brass

Casey is a brass player and teacher originating from the Southeast. Primarily a trombone player, Casey has been involved in numerous groups ranging from community concert bands, orchestras, Dixie groups on sousaphone, original jazz and pop groups and wedding/commercial bands.

Whilst Casey loves playing all styles and genres and jumps at any opportunity to expand his musical horizons, his true enjoyment comes from playing in stage and big bands. Casey has had the privilege of sharing the stage with some of Australia’s finest performers such as James Morrison, Marina Prior, Silvie Paladino, Rhonda Burchmore, Ross Irwin and the hilarious Frank Woodley to name a few.

Casey is never bored as he is currently studying, teaching at Newhaven College, Chairo Christian School as well as balancing multiple gigs and performances with his apparent social life.
