Watersure Scholarships Worth $1000 and $5000 Each!
Watersure are offering student scholarships to local students that will be of great interest to our senior students and families.
 
The Secondary Educational Support Scholarship is open to students entering Year 11 or Year 12 in 2023 in a school in the Bass Coast Shire and are:
  • studying 3 or more of Biology, General/Further Maths, Specialist Maths, Maths Methods, Chemistry, Physics or Psychology
  • aiming to study Science or Engineering at university
There are 2 scholarships for students entering Year 11, and 2 scholarships for students entering Year 12. Each scholarship is worth $1000.
 
The Tertiary Educational Support Scholarship is available to students currently in Year 12 in a school in the Bass Coast Shire, who plan on entering university in the 2023 to study engineering or science at any Australian tertiary institution. Two scholarships are provided, and each scholarship is worth $5000 per year for two years and includes the offer of vacation work between years 1 & 2 of the scholarship.

Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program
A final reminder to current Year 10 students and families that student applications for the Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program closes this Sunday 18 September. The program offers high-achieving Year 11 and 12 students the opportunity to engage with the University of Melbourne through a program of events and activities at the Parkville campus. We are able to support and endorse the nominations of up to five Year 10 students. To be eligible for this program the student must be currently in Year 10 and be in the top 5% of their cohort for academic achievement.
This is a very prestigious program and during their secondary schooling, Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars:
  • receive an approved borrower card for access to any of the University of Melbourne libraries
  • participate in dedicated academic enrichment events and key University events
  • meet like-minded students through on-campus activities
  • gain access to the Young Scholars Portal and social media page
  • are eligible for an overnight stay at a Residential College
In addition, Scholars who go on to enrol at the University of Melbourne gain benefits including:
  • A guaranteed place in an undergraduate place in selected programs. Please note that an ATAR and subject prerequisite conditions still apply.
  • A $2500 allowance to assist with costs settling into Melbourne
  • Eligibility for a $2500 Melbourne Global Scholarship Award to study at one of the 200 partner institutions across 45 countries.

18 September 2022: Closing date for student applications
14 October 2022: School endorsement deadline
16 November 2022: Schools and students notified of application
