Individual Music Tuition

Newhaven College offers an extensive program of individual or shared instrumental music lessons conducted by the College's professional music tutors. Tuition is available in strings, woodwind, brass, percussion, drum kit, piano, guitar, electric bass and voice. Our program details and costs are listed in the form below.

Instrumental tuition fees are set according to the Victorian Music Teachers Association rates. Please note that shared lessons are only available for students of a similar standard and not available for piano or drumkit. 

Weekly Lesson Fees  

  • Individual 30 minutes - $50
  • Individual 45 minutes - $70
  • Individual 60 minutes - $90
  • Shared 30 minutes - $38

Music Tuition Application Form

A College instrument can be loaned to you at no cost if your child learns their chosen instrument through our Year 3-7 classroom program. If you require instrument hire, please select from the drop down list.

Shared lessons may be available for students of a similar standard and are not available for piano or drumkit.

Additional Lessons

If your child has completed their scheduled number of lessons for the semester and there are still weeks remaining, would you like to be offered additional weekly lessons that would be charged at your weekly rate?

Do you have a preferred lesson time?

Lessons are scheduled during class time on a rotating timetable. A limited number of permanent timeslots may be available but are not guaranteed. Preference for these timeslots is given to Senior students and Preps.
