Newhaven College Video Launched

After many months of acting, singing, dancing, filming and editing... the Newhaven College video is here for everyone to enjoy.

Please be sure to share with family and friends, especially those outside of the school community.

We are so proud of our incredible students who participated in the creation of this video. We have so much talent on these school grounds, it's incredible.

Special thanks to Steph Thornborrow for her vision, song composer David Prideaux, choreographer Leasal Liddle-Pirouet and videographer Sam Cross of Yewafilms. And everyone else involved!

Below are a few stills from the video.

Foundation Day Assembly

On Wednesday 13 May, the Newhaven College community gathered for the all-school Foundation Day Assembly to celebrate the College's rich history. From the youngest Prep students to valued Life Governors, the event brought everyone together in a shared celebration of Newhaven College’s proud past, vibrant present, and promising future.

Phillip Island Nature Parks CEO, 1997 alum and current parent, Catherine Basterfield, addressed those assembled, reminiscing about her days at the College, when it was located in Boys Home Road campus. The assembly also saw the Preps receive their House badges and everyone enjoyed Aoife O’Connell and Finn Farley perform a song from the school production of Midnight and the Junior School choir sang a delightful song about (not) tidying their rooms! To top things off, the new College video with the catchy song “There’s a Seat Right Here for You” was launched, celebrating the passion and talents at Newhaven.

IDAHOBIT Bake Sale

Newhaven joined together on the Friday before IDAHOBIT Day to take a stand against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination.

The students of Rainbow Haven held a bake sale to celebrate IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia) and raised $187, which will go towards some Rainbow Haven initiatives.
