Our upcoming Open Morning will be bigger than ever, with many of our student leaders guiding visitors around our campus. Students are encouraged to sign up to help out on the day. The Open Morning will run from 9am-12pm this year and we anticipate lots of families taking the opportunity to see our stunning campus.

Do you know any Newhaven students who graduated in 1986, 1996, 2006 and 2016? We warmly invite all students from those graduating years (whether they graduated or not) to attend their Alumni Reunion from 10am-12pm on Saturday 14 March. The event will start with a complimentary morning tea, followed by a guided tour around campus.
More information about these important dates on the College calendar will be shared via SEQTA and online.
We have experienced ongoing issues this year with late bus arrivals at the College each morning, which have affected the timely start of the school day for our students.
After carefully reviewing the schedule and working closely with our bus company to minimise disruption, we will be adjusting morning bus timetables forward by 5 minutes, whilst the Inverloch–Pound Creek and Tarwin–Kilcunda routes will move forward by 10 minutes.
These new morning timetables will take effect from Wednesday, 11 March – the day after parent-teacher interviews.
Revised bus schedules are now available for parents to review on our website, link below:-
Bus Timetables - Newhaven College
We understand that even small changes to daily routines can require adjustment and sincerely appreciate your support in ensuring that students are at their stops ready for collection at the revised times. This change will help ensure that students arrive at school punctually, settled, and ready for the start of learning each day.

A new year brings new opportunities and new responsibilities. Whilst Year 12 leadership portfolios were decided last year, further leadership responsibilities were offered and snapped up by Senior students this week, with the onset of the summer sport season.
This year’s summer SEISA Sports Captains are:
Boys’ Basketball – Griffin Hamley
Boys’ Tennis – Mitchell White
Girls’ Tennis – Kordelia Kossena (Year 11)
Girls’ Netball – Jasira Derham
Cricket – Harry Arceo
Softball – Tilly Stecher
Surfing – Finlay Cameron
I would like to congratulate each of the leaders listed above and look forward to seeing them inspire their teams throughout the summer SEISA season.

Wow, what a delicious effort! Our recent bake sale was a huge success, raising an incredible $1,333.70 for Carrie's Beanies for Brain Cancer. Our school community should be very proud of this achievement. A massive thank you to every student, family, and staff member who contributed. What a great way to start the year! Check out the photos below.

Get ready for one of the best days of the school year! On the last day of Term 1, Thursday 2 April, students are invited to come dressed up as one of their teachers! Teachers, consider yourselves warned (and possibly flattered). We kindly ask that anyone who dresses up bring a gold coin to contribute to our school charity. More details to come soon, so stay tuned!
Exciting news! We are launching an Easter Raffle as our next big fundraiser event! Tickets will be on sale soon and will be available to purchase until the end of term, with the winners to be drawn at lunchtime on the final day of term (same day as teacher dress up!). As usual, all profits will be donated to the 2026 school charity, Carrie’s Beanies for Brain Cancer. It’s the perfect way to get into the Easter spirit while supporting our school community. We have some pretty fantastic prizes up for grabs, don’t miss your chance to win! Keep an eye out for more information.
Donations to Carrie's Beanies for Brain Cancer are welcome at any time via our own fundraising page.

On Wednesday this week, Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA) launched the very first national Red & Yellow Day, a nationwide celebration of the volunteers who dedicate their time, energy, and courage to keeping Australia’s beaches safe.
